Become a Class Act

South Wales Evening Post, 3 September 2010

SWANSEA’S Class Act Theatre School is about to start a new term.

Weekly classes take place in West Cross, Cockett and Pontardawe. Cats has 240 students aged 7 to 21 and stages shows across Swansea and Neath Port Talbot. The next is the Pontardawe Arts Centre pantomime, Snow White, in December.

Students who have gone on to become professional actors include James Scannell, now preparing for Emlyn Williams’s The Corn in Green at Swansea’s Grand Theatre this month.

Cats principal Jill Williams said: “Wonderful success like that is welcome but Cats is also very much about inclusiveness and strong ensemble performances.”
