CATHERINE Zeta Jones has sent a good luck message to a Swansea theatre group ahead of their 15th anniversary shows next week.

Jill Williams, founder of Class Act Theatre School, learned the ropes locally with the Hollywood actress at the Hazel Johnson School of Dance, and says she was delighted to hear from her lifelong friend ahead of their milestone performances.

"Well, it is hard to believe that 15 years have gone by so quickly, but not so hard for me to believe the success that has come along with those years," said Catherine in her message.

"It is because of the true talent and commitment of Jill that the fruits of her labour have benefitted so many and nurtured young talent.

"Congratulations you all. May you go from strength to strength. Sending my love and admiration."

The show, entitled One Night Out Up West, will see more than 100 talented young performers from the local area some of whom might one day emulate Catherine's success come together for a night of musical entertainment to celebrate the group's success.

Catherine's mother Pat, also a big supporter of the group, will be in attendance.

"It will incorporate the best bits from our past shows, but with interactive links including the use of verbatim theatre," explains Jill.

WHAT: One Night Out Up West,

WHEN: Taliesin Arts Centre, Swansea University, Wednesday, July 15 Saturday, July 18
