Josh said he was delighted to take on the role of Keckers in the show, which is his first professional acting job.

He said: "Working with Ruth Jones was such a privilege.

"It was my birthday during filming and she even called me in my hotel room to wish me a happy birthday!

"Ruth was fun to work with and very encouraging," she added.

The young actor first started treading the boards at Swansea's Class Act Theatre School, before moving on to Gorseinon College Performing Arts Department and later Central.

Class Act's principal Jill Williams added: "Josh always showed much potential as an actor and we are delighted for him.

"It's great to see our students achieving success in what is a very difficult industry. We will all be watching Josh in the series!"

The show continues tonight on Sky 1 at 9pm.
